E Wood Ltd was established in 1882, supplying coatings to the marine industry.

Originally the company was based on the London Docks. In 1941 s moved to Bishop Stortford in Hertfordshire. Here it stayed until 1988. In 1988 the company was purchased by its management and moved to new premises in Northallerton, North Yorkshire.

From this site we develop, manufacture, market and sell all the products displayed in our brochure and price list.

ThistleBond was purchased by E Wood Ltd in June 2000.

ThistleBond has been supplying the marine industry with its repair and maintenance products for over 40 years.

Since the purchase of Thistlebond, we have extended the product range to cover all areas of repair and maintenance, including Super Metals, Cermic Carbides, Elastomers, Engineers Kits, Adhesives, Laminates and protective Coatings.

All products manufactured are to ISO9002 and are available on a 3 day delivery UK , 6-7 day International.

Thistlebond exports its products to over 40 countries worldwide. It distributor network covers the marine, engineering and heavy industrial markets.

Our technical department is available 24 hours a day to answer any queries or questions. They will supply approvals and case histories on any product, when relevant.

Sales and Marketing

ThistleBond has a dedicated sales and marketing team, which offers full support to our distributor network UK and worldwide. Sales, lead, literature, sales aids and samples can all be obtained by contacting this department. Mailshots through email and normal post can be co-ordinated by our marketing team and the distributor, targeting chosen industries or products.
