Cooling fins on transformer suffering from extreme corrosion. Transformer is located by coastal region so there is also an element of SALT WATER corrosion.

All surface were prepared manually and all excess material removed to leave a substrate suitable for repair with Thistlebond Engineering Polymers.
All badly corroded areas were repaired using Thistlebond TR19065 Rapid Metal Repair product. The whole area was then coated with TR105 to cover over the repaired holes.
